Hello..I'm new here, and hope that someone will have some answers for me, so thanks in advance!
I have two Downtown Abbey roses...one is fairly full and the other is tall and thin. Both are not doing as well as I would expect. Both roses have very thin canes, and I'm wondering if this is typical of the variety? Neither have produced many leaves this year...but both have given 2 roses each. Each rose was on a very spindly stem, and all 4 blooms were very small, faded quickly and are ready to drop their petals after about a week.
I have fertilized them with Fox Farms Grow Big....tho I'm not seeing much in the way of results.
I wonder if I'm doing something wrong, or perhaps I have two roses that just aren't very good specimens, and that perhaps I should throw in the towel on them....tho, I hate to even contemplate that.
Any suggestions/thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks again.
Jan
