Newbie to roses and have a few questions.

    Hiya everyone,

Ok, I had some rose trees, atleast thats what i think they are. lol i know they are roses.  Well anyway, i was doing some reading on growing them from the stems, because the people that lived here before use just left them.  Which I was quite glad for because i know they can be beautiful.  Ok well,  Heres what i did..  I cut part of the actual bottom of the tree and replanted it. I did it at night and put some already used coffee grounds around the bottom on top of the dirt.  i still have one left to move.  Will the ones that i just move still root with it being the main part of the tree?  Or did i mess up the first set?  It also had some dead flowers that looked like they had seed inside..  Is that really seeds?  And can i grow them?  i would really love to have these turn out to be really beautiful plants that i can enjoy.. So if you can give me some info and some suggestions or just let me know if what i have planted will root and grow?

I also have a question. I bought my wife a Jackson Perkins yellow rose bush for Mother's Day, 2 years ago. We never planted it. We just sat it outside next to the fence. Last year I noticed a couple of buds blooming. Still forgot to replant. Well this year the thing has gone CRAZY. I bet it has 25 blooms on it. It is absolutly beautiful. But it really needs to be replanted and taken out of the original container. Problem is I don't know how. I don't want such a beautiful rose bush die. It's really flourishing were it is. HELP someone.
