Aphids, and sticky residue on one of my roses...

One of my smaller varieties of roses has aphids, and has a sticky residue on it (from the aphids?). I got some organic spray last year that was supposed to take care of it, but it didn't work. I tried using ladybugs, but they all left, and the aphids didn't...suggestions?

Aphids are the easiest pests to get rid of. Mix a 1/2 teaspoon of liquid dish soap like sunlight and 1 tablespoon of mouthwash in a 1 liter spray bottle filled with water. spray daily and you will see the aphids disapear.
