    Petal pigment problems

I have a light pink tea rose. The petals have hot pink spots and the edges are wilting. Also some of the leaves have little black spots and yellow blotches. Does anyone know how I could fix this? Thanks.

    Re: Petal pigment problems

Sounds like this rose bush disease - Blackspot, "Diplocarpon rosae", is a nasty fungus that manifests itself on rose bushes as black spots on leaves progressing to black spots fringed with yellow rings on both sides of the leaves. As they develop the spots enlarge. Eventually, as the disease spreads, the entire leaves will go from green to yellow and then drop to the ground. With time the entire rose bush may become defoliated. Leaves less than two weeks old are the most susceptible to this disease you can read the complete article at http://www.rosemagazine.com/articles02/pages/blackspot.asp Do your pink tea rose leaves look like the picture in this article?

The leaves kind of do it's not as severe as the leaves in the picture, though. I'm mostly concerned with the actual rose. Do you know of any remedies? Thank you. :)
