    Container Roses

I have two large concrete planters which I have planted two varieties of rose in each urn. Each planter has one Cole''s settlement in the front and one New Dawn. After the first year I was so amazed of how well these roses thrived. The New Dawn grew aggressively as expected but without any deleterious effects on the Cole's Settlement which was by far my best preforming rose last season. I was strongly advised not to plant two plants in one container but I just had to see what would happen. The New Dawn is climbing perfectly against an old shed and doesn't seam at all bothered by its companions. The containers are made of thick concrete and I believe this keeps the soil quite cool. I'm wondering if anyone has tried such a thing and if so what may be some of the pitfalls I may encounter this season.
