    Old Rose

I have a rose that I have had for over 30yrs.The rose was probably that age or older when I got it from a coworkers father that was in his late 70s.I wood like to move it but it is extremely woody and mossy.I plan on trying to air layer and use cuttings to try and save the memory of it.It blooms the most fragrant red roses. It has at least one or two hundred each time it blooms,Which is quiet often.I need any and all suggestions on what would be best to do.I live in sunny central Florida.

Sounds like it would fall apart if you tried to move it. Yes, you should take some cuttings and try to propogate the bush.
