    how do I get a clipping?

    I am moving and I need to know how to get a clipping from an existing rose bush. I do not want to take the whole thing with me I just want to start anew!!!Thank you anybody with this question!

    Take several clippings and then put some rooting solution on the clipped ends. Plant them in a pot with good quality garden soil and cover with plastic. Make sure that the soil is always damp. You sould have a rooted stem by the next spring to plant outside.

    Can you just plant a clipping into ground? If so, when is the best time to plant it? How deep?

    I've heard of people sticking a rose cane into the ground and it takes root, but this usually does not work. For best results follow the instructions above. You need a clipping of a small green stem not a dry cane.
