We are moving to San Diego from south of Seattle. We leave in one week. I want to take two special roses with me that my children gave me. What's the best way to do that?

Transplant them into pots. Dig up as much of the root system as your pot can handle. Give them a pruning if the canes are too long to handle. This might set them back this year.
