Hello all,
I live in zone 3, northern alberta Canada. This area is new to me, so I'm unsure as to how to over winter my Morden rose. When I lived on the prairies where the winters were anywhere from -35 to -40 c. I would put a tomato cage over the rose and stuff it full of leaves and grass. In my new location, the winters so far seem to be -20 for a few weeks, then we get a chinook and it warms up to +5 and then freezes again. Lots of cold winds and snow cover is anyone's guess. My question is do I do the tomato cage thing again, or leave it to the elements. I paid $40 + for this rose, so I don't want to kill it. Suggestions anyone??
