    Greetings to all.

I have just jumped into this hobby, with both feet!   I acquired 7 bushes this year All still in the plastic pots (2, Bella' roma, 1, Ronald Reagan, 1 Voodoo, 1, Scentimental, 1, David Austin "Falstaff" and a Double Knockout climber).  I have transplanted them into larger containers, except the climber, and they seem to be doing quite well.

The questions that I have are 1; Can I use general shrub/tree systemic pesticides,   2; when do flowers get cut for stemmed application and how long do you cut the stem.  3; on the Floribunda and Old English roses can I use the same criteria as the Hybrid Tea   4; is there a standard length for the base canes ?.

Thanks for any and all help/ advice in this area. I will probably be needing more help as the Winter  gets closer  here in Wisconsin.
