Climbers in a Salty and Windy Environment

My balcony garden gets a lot of salt water and high winds. I've always loved roses and a couple of month ago I planted a Don Juan climber and a Jacob's Coat. So far so good but they haven't really been tested by storms. Does anyone have any recommendations for keeping them healthy? Thank you.

Salt water is not good for roses in general. I can't imagine your balcony being so close to the sea spray. You can give them a try, but if they die, try Rugosas since they thrive in a poor sandy soil and are incredibly salt tolerant.
