Brown tips on my white roses

I have a small formal rose garden consisting of 12 different Hybrid tea's. My 4 white roses, and 1 yellow rose are blooming with brown tips. My red, pink and other 3 yellow roses are fine. I have inspected for bug/disease and I am fairly clear. A few leaves have some black spot. I have fertilized, watered etc as I have for the past 4 years since they were planted. What could be causing this? I am in NC so my plants are in full bloom. Could it be the cold/hot spells we have been having? Also we just put in a new drip system last season, could it be a bit more water then they should have? But they all receive the same amount of water and only the whites are having this problem.

    Any suggestions?

If a little bit of fertilizer is good for roses then alot more is better. This is not true. Many nonorganic fertilizers with high nutrient content (such as, 20-20-20) can be too much for your roses and cause the leaf tips to "burn" and turn brown, or cause the leaves to fall off completely.

This most likely is the problem. Big Smile
