    I need rose help.

I need rose help. I just moved to Virginia from Florida and now that the snow has melted away I have found the begining of beautiful rose bushes in my yard. I was wondering where do I begin? Are the roses that just went through horrible ice storms ok? Basically I need to be pointed in the right direction. I would love to maintain these rose bushes and need a little help to begin. Thank you in advance!

This is why you should prune back your bushes before the snow falls. But you can prune now. See if you have any new growth, shoots, leaves. If you have new growth the bushes made it through the winter. There are many articles on this site as others that will give you guidance on caring for your roses.
