    Pruning Climbers

    Hello

A friend told me I should use dormant spray this winter to get all the leaves off my three climbing roses and if there are any that do not fall off I would need to pick off each leaf. Is this true???

I live in the Pacific NW

    Thanks

True. The leaves could carry disease over to the next years growth. Do not remove the leaves untill the rose bush is dormant. Clean up all rose leaves that have fallen to the ground and dispose in garbage, not in compost. It's not really practicle to pluck off the leaves is your climber is 20ft high.
