Distressed Rose Grower

Hi,

I just planted a rose bush about 2 - 3 months ago and it started blooming about 3 weeks ago. However, the blooms that came out have a dirty look to them - the petals are brown edged and the whole bloom just has this dirty look to it. The foliage looks good but the blooms seem distressed.

This is a climbing, yellow rose with a pink tinge to the edge of the petals. What should
I do?

It sounds to me either you didn't fertilize the climber or water it enough. If you did both of these things try chicken manure. Roses absolutely love this stuff! It should do better and if it does'nt it might have a disease.
