I'd like to train a climbing rose to decorate an apple tree. Can anyone tell me a good hardy Zone 3/or 2 rose to do this?
The apple tree is in a wind protected place, but once it's blossoms go, it's an uneventful tree until the crab apples ar large. It is the focal point of my front door view, so jazzing it up would be fun. I have this vision of large red and white rose blossoms intertwined with the green of the tree stretching out on either side of the trunk and lateral branches.
Am I crazy?
