What is the best cure for mildew on my rose bushes?

To stop powdery mildew, mix together:
- one gallon of water
- 3 tablespoons of baking soda
- a dash of liquid dish detergent
At the first sign of powdery mildew, spray on affected area twice a week.

Start your application BEFORE you see the powdery mildew. Prevention in key. I start my first application (in Wisconsin Zone 4)the first week of June. Again in 3 weeks. Again in July.

You can also use neem oil. A few drops to a gallon of water and spray weekly. Oil of Oregano is also a promising oil. I haven't used it yet but I have heard good things about its antiviral attributes.

Hi

My Dusky Maiden, already flowered has started to show meldew signs... I've sprayed her with fungicide, and will go on... As a measure of control I'm spaying the rest of bushes, but my question is if I have to cut the parts affected? In my case this would mean to almost hard prune the whole bush, as I can see little signs of the infection in the bottom leaves.. What do you suggest to do? to prune or not to prune?
